TVSurf Stick Review: Streaming services today are a very great service, as they provide the entertainment necessary for leisure. However, many of these services can only be enjoyed on TV with the right devices. Otherwise, the cell phone, tablet or computer is questioned.
Some movies, however, you would like to watch on the big screen, which is usually not that easy. This is the reason why we looked today at the TV Surf Caster, which has exactly this function and allows to send the image to the tablet or smartphone directly on the TV. And all this in high-resolution quality.

How does it work?
The device works by storing your favorite media and streaming services in one place so you don’t have to jump back and forth from service to service. The streaming device plugs into your HDMI TV with the USB port and is then connected to your WiFi. It’s a very simple set up that takes no time at all.
Once you have your device set up, you simply plug it in and follow the prompts for the proper set up.
Does TVSurf work?
I want to start off by saying that this device is not going to compete directly with a lot of the products I mentioned previously because TVSurf actually does a lot more. TVSurf’s main advantage is that you can store all of your favorite media on the device.
If you have a Fire stick, you know that you can load it up and stream off of Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services, but the stick doesn’t do anything for your own media.
Personal media needs to be on a different device. And for me, it just doesn’t make sense to not have my media on the same device. TVSurf doesn’t make you jump from one device to the next. Instead, you plug the device into your HDMI, and it’s ready to go.
The streaming device has:
- HDMI output
- Micro SD card slot
Since you have both an HDMI output and micro SD slot, you can simply slide the card in and watch the movies or shows you put on the card.
How to Setup TV Surf?
So, how do you set the TVSurf device up? Well, it is actually pretty simple and straightforward. Here are the steps:
- Make sure that your TV has a free HDMI port. Plug the device into the said port and power the TV on.
- You will also need an Android smartphone as well since you are going to be downloading its companion app in the Google Play Store. The name of the device is also the name of the application that you will need to download.
- Once that is done, fire the application up and it will try searching for the device. It can only detect it if you are using the same network, so make sure that both of the devices (TVSurf and your phone) are connected to the same router.
- After connecting to the device, you can then control the different parameters of the device right out of your mobile phone.
Your Android smartphone is required during the installation process because it will ask you to connect to your Google account. This is so that you can download streaming applications from Netflix and other platforms directly from the device itself.
Furthermore, you can also use your phone as a means of controlling the TV. You no longer have to rely on the remote control that comes bundled with your television set anymore as everything can be controlled using one device.
TVSurf Facts and Specs
Media types are completely out of control. CODECs allow for video and audio compression, but once you try playing these videos outside of a computer, you’ll run into problems. The manufacturers of this product put a lot of thought and consideration into the TV stick.
The stick can accommodate the following file types:
- .mkv
- .wmv
- .mpg
- .mpeg
- .dat
- .avi
- .mov
- .iso
- .mp4
- .rm
- *.jpg
Who should buy TVSurf?
TVSurf should be purchased by people who know their entertainment should not be limited to just one app store. The device isn’t from Apple, Amazon or Google, so you actually have more freedom over the apps that you can use. Instead, you’re able to download apps from:
- Android
- Amazon
- Etc.
Freedom to download from multiple app databases means that you have greater access to apps. Browsing is also better.
I went on my Fire Stick and opened up the browser, and it lags and is very slow. While I usually use apps, I needed the browser because the one site I wanted to use didn’t have an app. The quad core processor built into this product allows for blazing fast speeds and easy access to all of your favorite sites.
You can browse:
- Netflix
- Hulu
- YouTube
- Flixster
- Twitch
Any site that you want to browse you can with this stick. TVSurf is very snappy, and the setup process is a breeze, too.
Is the TVSurf worth it?
TVSurf is definitely worth the purchase. Even if you just want to use it as an extra device and still keep your cable, it makes things easier and organized. All you need to do is make the one time purchase of the device, and that’s it. No more contracts or monthly bills.
One issue that you might have is ordering the device online. When I first tried to order one, they were all sold out, so I had to try again a few weeks later. When I finally checked back and saw that they were back in stock, I ordered a few. TVSurf was having a sale at the time, so I was able to get a good deal. The more you order, the greater the deal.
And if you’re the kind of person that doesn’t always trust online purchases, I would recommend getting one anyway and if you decide it’s not for you, you can always return it. There is a good and fair return policy that ensures you can return the device after a certain amount of days. There is no risk to you at all if you decide to get the TVSurf, but I’m pretty sure you’ll end up liking it. It’s too convenient and easy not to.
Are there any problems or risks with the TVSurf?
We have read in all the reports that there are no problems whatsoever with the TVSurf and it is therefore easy to use. So we can answer this question with “No!
Where can I buy TV Surf Caster?
It is best to buy the device directly from the manufacturer. Because here you not only have the advantage of a simple order but also of being delivered as quickly as possible. After ordering it, you also have the choice between different payment options. Paypal and credit card are the rules that provide the buyer with the necessary security.
You can’t do anything wrong here. It is also worth buying several devices. For example, for use in the living room and bedroom. In this case, it is important to use the special offers that the manufacturer offers on its website. Here, we buy several devices, which makes each individual do more favourably than if we buy only one. It is, therefore, worthwhile to think carefully during the purchase if you do not order several at the same time.

How much does TVSurf cost?
TVSurf is available online at the official site of the product at very affordable prices. Moreover, there are many discounted deals available. The price of one device is $153.83, but currently, it is being sold at a discounted price of just $99.99. Moreover, those who buy more than one discount can benefit from even better discount deals.
